Beyond the kitchen
Vanities, built-ins and the cabinets by the back door
The same prep and the same doors-to-the-shop method, on the cabinets that take humidity and scuffs.
A bathroom vanity needs a primer that tolerates steam. A mudroom bench needs a finish that tolerates boots. We choose for the room, and write both on your price.
Priced by the opening, like a kitchen
Can match a kitchen's color so the house reads as one

What else we do
Six places cabinets turn up
Bath vanities
Single and double vanities, with the doors and the face frame sealed against steam.
Window seats and built-ins
Cabinets built around a window or a fireplace, finished to match the trim.
Mudroom and laundry
Benches, cubbies and utility cabinets, in a finish that wipes clean.
Hall drawers and linen cabinets
The built-in drawers that most people forget until the paint is chipped.
Bookcases and paneled cabinets
Raised panels need a brush in the corners; we take the time.
Doors and trim to match
Interior doors and baseboards in the same white or greige, priced as an add-on.
An honest no
When we'll tell you to leave the cabinets alone
Refinishing isn't for every cabinet. We say so before taking a deposit.
Water-swollen boxes
Particleboard that has swelled under a sink won't go flat again. Replacing it is the honest fix.
Peeling thermofoil
If the film is lifting at the edges, a primer won't hold it. We'll look at photos and tell you.
Doors that no longer close true
Warped doors can be replaced by a cabinet shop and then finished by us to match.
Questions about other cabinets
Can you paint laminate or thermofoil?
Sometimes. They need a bonding primer and a look at the edges first. Send photos, and we tell you if it will hold. If it won't, we say so before taking a deposit.
Can you price from photos?
Usually. Send three photos: the whole kitchen, the cabinets with doors open and one close of a door front. If the photos aren't enough, Adela comes to count the doors in person.
I live in a condo or a managed building. What do you need?
Ask your building about work hours and elevator reservations. We give your manager the dates and the names of the crew who will be in the unit.
What does the warranty cover?
Our written warranty covers peeling and chipping that come from our work, not daily wear or water damage. Terms, limits and exclusions are in your written warranty.
